Welcome message

Posted in a channel you pick when someone joins. It can be plain text or an embed with their avatar, and can also be sent to them by DM.

Use placeholders like {user}, {server} and {memberCount}. Example: Welcome {user} to **{server}**! You are member #{memberCount}.

In Discord: /welcome set, /welcome test, /welcome off.

Posted when someone leaves. {user.name} works best here, since they’re no longer in the server to be mentioned.

A role every new member gets. If you use Verification, you can have it wait until they verify.

In Discord: /autorole.

Roles members can pick themselves with /roles. For buttons in a channel, use Reaction roles.

Welcome, leave and auto role need Discord’s Server Members intent, which the bot turns on for itself. If they don’t work, see Troubleshooting.
