Getting-started checklist

Give new members a short checklist that ticks itself off as they settle in, with an optional reward at the end. It helps people find their way around, and shows you where newcomers get stuck.

Turn it on

1. On your server’s dashboard, open Getting started and switch the checklist on.
2. Choose the steps: Verify (only if Verification is set up), Pick a role, Say hi and Join a voice channel.
3. Optionally pick an introductions channel, so “Say hi” only counts there.
4. Choose a reward — a role, points, or both — and how to say congrats: by DM, in a channel, or not at all.

For members

New members can get the checklist by DM when they join (if you turn that on), and anyone can check their progress with /journey. Steps tick themselves off — there’s nothing to click. People who were already in the server can start it by using /journey.

Seeing how it’s going

The Getting started and Analytics pages show how many new members finished, how long it usually takes, and how many got past each step — so if most people stop at “Pick a role”, you know that’s the step to make easier.

The reward role needs the bot to have Manage Roles and a role above the reward role. Points are only given if Points are on.
