Plain-language summary of what Rovik keeps and why.
In short
- We do not sell your information. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone — ever.
- We don’t run ads, trackers or analytics on the website.
- We only keep what each feature needs to work, tied to your Discord ID.
- It’s stored in a private database on our hosting — nobody else can browse it.
- You can ask what we have, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it, any time — see Data removal requests below.
What the bot stores
To make its features work, the bot saves the following, linked to Discord user and server IDs:
- Levels: XP, how many messages counted for XP, and minutes in voice chat. Not what you wrote.
- Points: balances, daily streaks, and blackjack win/loss counts.
- Moderation: warnings, kicks, bans, timeouts and AutoMod removals (with the reason), and notes staff write about members.
- Tickets, giveaways and reminders: who opened a ticket, giveaway entries, and your reminder text until it’s sent. Ticket transcripts are posted to the server’s own channel and sent to you by DM.
- AFK: your AFK message until you come back.
- DM announcements: if you click “Stop DMs from this server” on an announcement, we remember that choice (your ID and the server) so you don’t get more. While an announcement is being sent, the list of who it’s going to is kept until it’s done.
- Server settings: what admins set up (channels, roles, messages, Twitch usernames to follow).
Messages
The bot reads messages in servers that use auto-replies, tickets, AutoMod or levels, to check them against the rules or count XP. It doesn’t save message text. If AutoMod removes a message, a copy goes to that server’s mod-log channel (if the server set one up) so staff can review it.
If a server turns on Logs, the bot posts deleted and edited messages (with their text), joins, leaves, and changes to roles, nicknames and channels in that server’s log channels, so its staff can see what happened. To do that, the bot briefly keeps recent messages in memory; they aren’t saved anywhere else. If a server uses Verification, the bot remembers when you joined until you verify, so it can remove people who never do (if the server turned that on).
Server analytics
Unless a server switches it off, the bot counts activity in that server so its admins can see the Analytics page and weekly report: messages per channel and hour, which members were active each day (to count each person once), joins, leaves, voice joins and commands. It never saves what anyone says. These counts are kept for 60 days, then deleted.
If a server uses the getting-started checklist, the bot remembers which steps each new member has done (and when), so it can tick them off and give the reward. That’s kept for 60 days.
The website
When you log in with Discord, we get your username, avatar, user ID and the list of servers you’re in with their permissions — only to show the servers you can manage. We keep a login session (a cookie and a Discord access token) for up to 14 days, or until you log out. No ads, no tracking, and no analytics on the website itself.
Support tickets
If you open a support ticket, we keep what you write, your Discord name and ID, and the server you picked, so the bot owner and support staff can answer you. The bot may DM you to say your ticket has an update; the replies themselves stay on the website.
Staff applications
If you apply to join the support team, we keep your answers and your Discord name and ID so the owner can review them. The bot may DM you to say your application has an update.
Server directory
If a server’s admins list it in the server directory, its name, icon, member count, description, tags and an invite link are shown publicly. We keep who submitted and who last bumped it (Discord IDs), and counts of bumps and join clicks. If you report a listing, we keep your report and Discord ID so staff can review it. If you confirm you’re 18+ to see age-restricted servers, that’s remembered in a cookie on your browser for 30 days.
Ban appeals
If you appeal a ban, we keep your answers, your Discord name and ID, the ban reason, and the decision, so that server’s staff can review it and you can see the result.
Server templates
If a server owner shares their server as a template, its channel and role names, permissions, role menus and (if they choose) the bot’s settings are shown publicly in the gallery, with the owner’s Discord name. Never messages, members or invites.
Voting
If you vote for the bot on top.gg, top.gg tells us your Discord ID. We keep when you last voted and how many times, to give the voter bonus.
Payments (Premium)
If a server subscribes to Premium, payment is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. We keep the subscription status, when it renews, and IDs Stripe gives us to manage it, linked to the server and the Discord ID that subscribed.
Where it’s kept
On the bot’s hosting (Railway) in a private database. We do not sell your information to anyone, for any reason, and we don’t share it except where this page already says (Stripe for payments, or if the law requires it).
Data removal requests
You can ask to see what we have on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Server admins can also reset members’ XP and points themselves with /xp reset and /points set.
We ask you to log in with Discord first, so the request is tied to your own account and we know exactly whose data to act on. Prefer not to log in? Open a support ticket instead. Either way, we’ll confirm once it’s done — usually within a few days.
